Responsibilities
- Building integrations related to payroll, equity, vendor systems, etc to include projects to build out solutions (ie VMS integrations, 3rd party systems, etc.) VMP integrationexp. Helps to suport bugs, issues, resolving tickets, etc.
- Support & build assigned integration and application work across Workday HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, AD/Okta, Vendor Management System (Beeline) and benefits vendors, applying the patterns and standards defined by organization.
- Build and support CCBs, integration with benefits provider (Kaiser, Optum, Aetna) for Open Enrollment.
- Build integrations, services, and applications using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP/GraphQL APIs; develop Extend applications (custom objects, validations, orchestration-backed workflows) to company-approved designs
- Implement observability for assigned integrations (dashboards, metrics, alerts, runbooks) to client’s standard; resolve assigned high-severity production issues to root cause and complete follow-up remediation
- Coordinate delivery of assigned workstreams: write designs for company review, provide accurate estimates
- Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, documenting decisions and build/buy and design tradeoff rationale in client systems.
- Offer management integration (Stello) — New build. Stello is client’s new offer management tool. Build the integration that surfaces Stello offer data in Workday, delivered to defined requirements. This is the MVP ahead of a larger offers redesign that will move offer letter generation into Workday Docs.
- Compensation survey management integration — New build. Replace a manual spreadsheet-based workflow with an integration between Workday and the selected compensation survey platform, targeting go-live ahead of the spring survey season.
- Immigration integration (Aurora) — New build. Inbound integration from Aurora, our immigration case management platform, into Workday’s Visa module, covering roughly 320 employees on US and international immigration. Workday is the HR system of record, so this lets the immigration team work in one system and reduces compliance risk from stale visa data.
- Equity and payroll integration enhancements (Schwab) — Enhancement. Payroll tax compliance work across the existing Workday ↔ Schwab integrations: local taxation, equity withholding corrections, state disability mapping, and readiness for Canadian payroll.
- Contingent worker system integration — Enhancement. Close the identified gaps between Beeline and Workday supporting the contingent worker redesign, including automatic processing of contract end dates and improved data completeness on contingent worker records.
- India entity integrations — New build. Integrations and data feeds supporting the India entity, including payroll, benefits, and statutory reporting connections.
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of software or application engineering experience, with significant time spent on platform or enterprise systems
- Core Connector, Workday Studio, VMS, Benefits, Payroll, Equity Integration exp, EIBs, APIs, Web Services, etc
- 4+ years of hands-on Workday development across integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors), Extend, Orchestration, and RaaS/WQL
- Highly skilled in building with REST/SOAP and GraphQL, and in data transformation patterns (XML, XSLT, JSON)
- Demonstrated ownership of integration architecture, including event-driven patterns, API gateway patterns, and fault-tolerant design
- Deep understanding of the Workday data model and security fundamentals (domains, segments, business processes)
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (B.E./B.Tech/MCA), or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with an iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft or Workato
- Workday Integration or Extend certification
