Detailed Job Description:
• Perform design analysis, documentation, testing, implementation and support for BMC Mainview in the mainframe systems environment
• Consult and provide customized recommendations to the installation team based on experience within the BMC monitoring tool
• Install and manage mainframe software deployments in a highly granular SYSPLEX environment
• Maintain high quality and consistency of systems software and automation processes
• Enhance installation scripts, reporting and automation using supported mainframe tools such as JCL, REXX, SAS, SQL, PYTHON and Java/Javascript
• Complete assignments by due dates, without detailed supervision
• Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
• Actively engage in strategic goals for mainframe engineering, the department and organization specific to the BMC Mainview installation (ie: Mainview Explorer or Mainview Viewer)
• Provide input and follow-through for continuous improvement to mainframe systems engineering processes and procedures
• Perform troubleshooting for BMC Mainview
