ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepares and positions patients for x-rays and
selects exposure factors accurately.
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or
medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and
federal regulations.
Observes
patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and
recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
Follows
radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Prevents patient from being exposed
to unnecessary radiation.
Performs
patient assessment and communicates actively with healthcare team. Completes
all required documentation related to patient, procedure and exam charges.
Adapts imaging
methodology using approved modifications and communication with physician as
needed.
Serves
and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards,
hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Establishes
a clean, orderly, safe and professional work environment. Reports equipment
malfunctions in a timely manner and actively assists in arranging repairs
following established process.
Attend scheduled in-services and attend
periodic continuing education.
Maintains patient confidentiality and
demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times in the care and use of resident
and facility property.
Requirement description :
- Must have CT and X-ray – Required
- Must have WY license – Required
- Ultrasound Experience – Highly Preferred
- ARRT (does not need to be CT) – Required
- GE experience – Preferred
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- ARRT
- BLS (AHA)
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
- Wyoming
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Active at time of Submission
Weekend Requirements : Required
On Call Requirements : Required
