Role: Telecom Voice Engineer
Contract: 12 months with potential to Convert
Location: Long Island, NY
Four days onsite and will have to travel to various boroughs but as you progress it will go down to 3 days onsite or even less. Frequent travel to customer sites – in Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey, Manhattan and the Boroughs.
The Provisioning Project Manager will be responsible for managing all projects for all circuits for our IP, Voice and Data departments. The main focus will be on the timely installation of all components for client circuits/networks and all associated equipment for the main campus's as well as installations throughout the greater metropolitan area.
Role Overview:
Provisioning coordination through close cooperation with clients, vendors, management and various internal organizations.
Interfacing with clients on technical details, order status and other issues as required.
Preparing and distributing Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals to service and support vendors.
Evaluating RFI’s and RFP’s
Analyze and recommend solutions to Management.
Preparing documentation and reports for Management including status and due dates.
Conducting Project Meetings
Supervise vendors.
Conducting site surveys and evaluations – determine entrance, pathway, electrical and space criteria.
Placing circuit orders.
Placing client routers and equipment orders from Vendors.
Ordering (not limited to), ELine, SIP/MPLS, DF, PRI, DS1 lines.
Weekly order status to stakeholder teams
Scheduling and coordinating of field technicians, client expectations and Building Access
Resolving discrepancies between vendors and the clients and Telecommunications
Ensuring test and acceptance of circuits.
Turn over to network groups.
Prepare documentation for billing from Telecommunications Chargeback system
Update respective databases
Regular, predictable attendance
