Echo/Vascular Tech
75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) – NO LOCAL TRAVELERS. Please only submit candidates that area aware of their submission to our facility. Please note, any time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval; time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved. When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.
Job Description: Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. This is a 13-week contract assignment and requires at least one 13-week previous travel assignment and two (2) years current experience required in specialty. Required to work independently and as a team member.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the practice of echocardiography to perform all routine echocardiograms for evaluation of possible abnormal heart defects or disease in the inpatient setting. Performs Stress echocardiogram and Dobutamine stress echocardiograms. Accurately completes charges for all exams performed in the EMR system as well as initiate and assign the preliminary report in PACS. Maintains and submits required data for QA as well as IAC cases.
Certifications: BLS (ACLS &/or PALS) certification required and must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT). ARDMS/RDCS credential with one of the following specialties: AE, FE, PE; or one CCI credential: RCS, RSV, RCCS.
Shifts: _8_ hour __Monday -Friday Shifts. Start time: __8______ AM. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Floating to nearby facilities required, if needed. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
EMR: EPIC experience preferred
Orientation: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
Scrubs: Required (wine, burgundy and marooon) Top, bottom and jacket ( undershirt if worn) must match and will not be provided by the facility.
